Ever since the start of the clinic is has been and still is the aim to avoid unnecessary discomfort to our patients. One of the situations often called upon as being problematic – is egg retrieval.
THIS IS NOT THE CASE IN OUR CLINIC AS WE THINK OUR MODEL IS MATERING THE PAINLESS EGG RETRIEVAL!
We – as the only clinic - have employed anaestesiologically trained nurses – who are able to give adequate medical pain relief at egg retrieval. This is so nice for our patients as most experience a very nice time at egg retrieval and we as professionals enjoy the nice atmosphere egg collection is done here and only here in our clinic.
This nice way of handling egg collection we have talked and surveyed above over and over again since 1993 – at the start of the clinic. Still we haven’t heard of anyone allocating such resources to this particular topic in IVF apart from our clinic. In some countries – still – women may undergo general anaesthesia at egg retrieval – which seems completely outdated.
